Synopsis

Into Castle Duckenstein is the perfect adventure for a Halloween session, or any spooky/horror session you might be running. It will fit perfectly in the Misty Vale or any other Dragonbane campaign setting you're using.

Deep in the eastern marshes, on a rare parcel of dry land surrounded by brackish water, sits Castle Duckenstein. Doctor Beaktor Duckenstein, the castle's eponymous owner, is known to be somewhat of a quack, a mad scientist, and a dangerous one at that.

The village of Quackstead is regrettably close to the castle. The residents of Quackstead do their best not to attract the doctor's attention, for they know from unfortunate experience that only brings tragedy and grief. They are all too familiar with the doctor’s so-called “research” and horrific “experiments. Unfortunately for them, Duckenstein has once again set his sights on the town, as he seeks to expand his family of mismatched miscreants.

Planning to take advantage of Quackoween, a night when dark magic is magnified, the mad medical mallard sent his monstrous minions to abduct new subjects to mutilate. Two dozen townsfolk were taken, and six others were killed in defending their home.

Now, it's Quackoween night, and the distraught people of Quackstead have only one hope to get their family and friends back: for the player characters to storm Castle Duckenstein and bring them back before it's too late. If it isn’t already.
