Synopsis

Dragonzine is back, bigger and better with a new and improved layout design and over 200 pages of Dragonbane content! Issue 2 focuses on monsters, and includes:

  • In-depth interviews with writer and game designer Magnus Seter and artist Dave Brasgalla about their work on the Dragonbane Bestiary.

  • A bumper Bestiary section with 10 new creatures – 5 monsters with attacks tables (void crawler, wyvern, jinn, Cerberus, and eldritch eye) and five creatures which can be NPCs or playable kin (dragonkin, demonkin, nisse, shapeshifter, kobold). We also have stats for 16 common birds.

  • Rules for centaurs, minotaurs, and swan maidens as playable kin.

  • A third party monster showcase, where we present ten of our favourite monsters from some of the best third party publications for Dragonbane, including Windheim, Ereb Altor, Shadow Over Gloomshire, and The Evil at the End of the Path.

  • Random encounter tables for a range of different environments to help GMs quickly select a random monster from the Dragonbane Bestiary.

  • A monster generator to help you create your own unique monsters.

  • Rules for harvesting body parts and substances from monsters you’ve killed and turning them into useful items.

  • Four new professions: Monster Hunter, Witch Hunter, Teratologist (a scholar of monsters), and Gladiator, including seven new heroic abilities.

  • Two new magic schools: Illusionism and Dragon Magic

  • Two full-length adventures: Tavern of the Living Dead and Hounds of the Neverglades

  • News, reviews and recommendations of the best third-party Dragonbane products, and a full-length review of the Dragonbane Bestiary.

  • New and improved layout design and dyslexic-friendly main font.
