Synopsis

A desperate cry, a bump in the night and a sanity-draining howl… has yet another innocent soul fallen victim to the Hook-Winged Demon?

Can the heroes stand by and let this creature continue its reign of terror, or will they risk the caverns beneath the broken stairs and attempt to defeat the demon once and for all?

Beneath the Broken Stair is a short adventure designed to be single-night scenario for the Dragonbane roleplaying game. Suitable, with a bit of modification, for adventurers of any level of experience and profession, it works best as one-off interludes within longer campaigns.

Nominally set in the Misty Valley (as outlined in the Dragonbane boxset) this encounter is easily relocated to any location featuring remote farming communities or small villages.
